Virtual Guards Take Responsibility For Gates Community
Sarasota, FL - February 2011

One of the Tampa Bay area's premier master-planned communities is replacing manned sentry houses with a virtual guard service to provide security.

The Live Oak Preserve Master Homeowners Association contracted with Envera Systems (www.enverasystems.com) to install its proprietary, electronic monitoring technology at two of the gated community's entryways and in common areas, such as pools and the club house.

Envera Systems provides surveillance, access control, keyless entry, and visitor verification at gates and common areas using video and traditional monitoring from a remote central station manned 24 hours a day by certified security and alarm specialists.

According to Envera Systems' Senior Vice President of Business Development, Tom Swain, the company's technologies save up to half the costs of manned entry guards, while reducing verification times for visitors from minutes to seconds, and generating a digital record of all visitor transactions wherever its cameras are placed.

Live Oak occupies 1,300 acres.

Envera Systems provides security and surveillance services for numerous gated communities in Florida, including the 997-home Coral Bay in Broward County; the 1,100-home Stoneybrook of Sarasota, 900-home Heritage Harbour in Bradenton; and 1,000-home Countryside in Naples.
